Wetland and Stream Mitigation

Changes to Nationwide Permits have increased the need for both wetland and stream mitigation. Wetland and stream mitigation can be provided in the form of on-site mitigation, off-site mitigation, and mitigation banking. Ecological Solutions, Inc. can assist you in performing a cost benefit analysis to determine cost effective options for mitigation. In instances where mitigation banking is warranted, we can assist you in determining credit availability and price from area banks. Otherwise we can locate, design, permit, and monitor your wetland and stream mitigation. In addition to numerous mitigation plans in our cumulative experience, our staff has developed over 30 wetland and stream mitigation designs.

Permitting

Under the NWP process it can take 30 to 45 days to receive permit approval. Individual permits are a much longer process and may take 6 to 9 months to obtain approval. Wetland and stream mitigation is often needed for both of these permits..
